Hallway Chronicles: Hannah Cohen

Sophomore

Hannah Cohen is a sophomore new to Berkeley this year. She recently moved to Florida from Mendham High School in New Jersey, along with her younger brother who is planning on joining Berkeley in high school.

Q: What sport(s) do you like to play?

A: In New Jersey, I played field hockey but Berkeley doesn’t have field hockey so I do cheerleading. I joined a club team in Tampa for field hockey. Field hockey is big up north.

Q: Why do you like to play field Hockey?

A: It’s really fun. I’ve played it since I was little and my mom played it when she was younger. It was really fun to be involved in a team.

Q: What class is your favorite this year? Does it relate to a job you would like to have when you grow up?

A: I really like Mr. Lipham’s Government/Economics class. I might want to be a lawyer, so it’s good to know the amendments.

Q: Why a lawyer?

A: I really like learning about how the Constitution can be applied to modern issues. If I was not going to be a lawyer I would be involved in politics.

Q: Which clubs are you interested in joining this year?

A: I signed up for Jolly Rogers, History Bowl, Diversity Club and Spanish Club.

Q: What is a goal you have for the 2013-2014 school year?

A: I want to do well in my classes, so I guess that’s a goal!

Hannah’s interest in sports, law, and clubs are a great combination for a successful future after graduation in 2016!
