Hallway Chronicles: Kelley Sheets

Senior

We were absolutely delighted to sit down and chat with Kelley Sheets ’13 about her senior year and her overflowing schedule.

Q: How is your senior year going?
A: My senior year is going well. It’s really busy but it’s really fun.

Q: What’s been the most fun part of senior year so far?

A: I really like walking in to convo with our Senior-Kindergarten buddies because that was neat. It was finally our turn.

Q: What senior perk are you most excited for?

A: I’m really excited for Senior Day and Senior Skip Day, just since those are things that I’ve been looking forward to since, like, sixth grade. And the Clap-Out although it’s kind of sad, it’s finally going be my turn so that’s cool.

Q: What are your favorite classes?

A: I love both AP Lit and AP Lang. And Advanced Drama. But, I love the English ones just because I really like reading so the homework’s not that bad and whatnot. And I love sitting around and discussing them and Mr. Lukacs and Mr. Brandt are both amazing.

Q: What are your responsibilities for MUN? What’s your favorite aspect?

A: For MUN I’m the co-president with Vikram [Nandyala] and that’s really neat because I get to […] help teach kids what it’s like to actually be in a conference. I really like actually being in the conferences and the committees because I get to debate issues and I have experiences there that I can pass on to the newer kids.

Q: What’s your role on Student Forum? What do you like most about it?

A: I’m Senior Class Vice-President. I think what I like most is the fact that this year’s whole class has really come together to work towards fundraising and that’s just been a really amazing thing to see.

Q: What do you enjoy about AD? Do you plan on performing in college?

A: I love AD because there’s so much hard work that goes into the productions that most people don’t see. And it’s really neat working with that group of people to make that happen and then having the rewarding, like the bows at the end, just knowing that all of our hard work paid off. Yeah, I definitely want to perform in college.

Q: What is your favorite guilty-pleasure TV show?

A: I really like Gossip Girl. Even though it’s not on TV anymore I still re-watch it on Netflix.

Kelley’s bubbly personality and devotion to so many great activities are truly admirable, and we wish her the best of luck beyond graduation!
