Berkeley students of all divisions shared in the festivities of Spring Tailgate celebrating this year’s spring sports teams.
-
SPIRIT INSIDE AND OUT: Jakob Hines ’19 and Josh Youngblood ‘19 (from left) prepared for Friday’s Spirit Day by raiding the Book Store. “It’s probably my favorite day of the week, whenever we have Spirit Day,” said Hines, who played first string for Berkeley’s football team last fall.
-
TRACK AND FIELD RALLIES TOGETHER: The head-turning chants of Berkeley’s track and field team echoed across the Doyle Gymnasium during Friday’s pep rally. The crowd’s collective gasp at the size of the team could be heard throughout the Armada. “It’s a huge team, a huge family!” noted Iris Casey ’19.
-
A HARD JOB, WELL DONE: Meghan Clare ’17, Gordon Stetson ’17 and Danielle Carolan ’17 (from left) received a huge thank you from Coach Reinhart and the entire Armada during Friday’s pep rally. The three Jolly Rogers put in countless hours of hard work, making the year’s convocations as spirited as possible.
-
DANCING OUR WAY TO VICTORY: Bucky’s dance moves during the Spring Pep Rally just might go down in All School Convo history. “I could not stop laughing! Bucky really gets down,” remarked George Smith ‘20. Upper Division Technology teacher Chase Smith smiled as he admitted his favorite part of Friday’s convo was “Bucky’s dancing.”
-
ONE TEAM: Coach Reinhart addressed the Armada during Friday’s Pep Rally, commending the encouragement students have shown all year to peers representing Berkeley on the court, field and water.
-
BERKELEY TEACHERS LOVE SPIRIT DAY: Mr. Blount, an Upper Division Math teacher, represented his department with a “Berkeley Mathematics” shirt during Friday’s Pep Rally. “We’re a team too!” said Blount as he hurried into the Doyle Gymnasium.
-
BERKELEY ARMADA CHEERS ON BUCS: The Middle Division Armada proved on Friday that they are just as spirited as the Upper Division. The young Bucs sported spirit shirts with Middle Division uniform bottoms at the pep rally.
-
PIPE AND DRUM CORP WELCOME BUCS: As the Pipe and Drum Corp fired off the “Berkeley Fight Song” and “Scotland the Brave,” students and faculty alike were welcomed into the Straz Center for yet another successful Pep Rally. Rachel Kline ‘20 remarked, “Seeing all of our hard work play out (no pun intended) was really gratifying.”
