Starbucks’ Christmas Drinks Review

Starbucks’ Christmas drinks have finally arrived with new and exciting holiday flavors

’Tis the season for the Starbucks’ Christmas drinks with classics such as the Peppermint Mocha and the Caramel Creme Brulee Latte accompanying the newer Chestnut Praline Latte and the Toasted White Chocolate Mocha. In a world where COVID-19 has affected us all, one thing remains the same: Starbucks never fails to deliver holiday cheer with their seasonal drinks. I wanted to find out the most delicious holiday order, so I decided to buy some of the most popular Starbucks holiday drinks.

First, I tried the iced Peppermint Mocha. This drink comes both hot and iced, but on this 80° winter day, I was craving something more refreshing. My first impression of the Peppermint Mocha was that it was true to its name with chocolate, peppermint and a coffee after taste. Being an original Starbucks drink, it did not meet my high expectations. In my opinion, it was overrated because the blend of the peppermint and coffee fell flat. I would rate this drink a 6/10.

Next, I had the iced Caramel Creme Brulee Latte. This is another classic, but on the other hand, this sweet and creamy drink was a pleasant surprise. There was caramelized sugar to top off the whipped cream, which added to the creme brulee effect. However, the sweetness of the drink was overpowering over some of the other flavors. I would rate this an 8/10.

Moving onto the next drink, I tried the iced Chestnut Praline Latte. While ordering this drink, I did not know what exactly to expect. I was not too familiar with the chestnut or praline taste, but this was a delicious coffee overall. Compared to the Caramel Creme Brulee Latte, this drink was not too sweet at all. In fact, I felt that it somewhat lacked any flavor other than coffee and it didn’t follow through with any praline or chestnut taste. As a coffee lover, I did enjoy the drink itself. Nevertheless, being a review for holiday drinks, the Chestnut Praline Latte did not live up to its exotic name. I would rate this drink a 7.5/10.

Finally, I tasted the iced Toasted White Chocolate Mocha. Topped with pink crystal sprinkles and whipped cream, this definitely won prettiest drink. This holiday beverage was smooth to taste and had delicious creamy hints of white chocolate and coffee throughout. My first impression of the drink is reflected in its name because I immediately tasted the toastiness, and it reminded me of holiday warmth (even though the drink was iced). I would rate this drink a 9/10.

This means that the winner for best Starbucks holiday drink for me was the Toasted White Chocolate Mocha! Out of all of the drinks, this one was the perfect combination of sweetness, coffee, white chocolate and holiday cheer.
