Put College Applications on Hold
As many of us enter into our senior year, we must find a new balance between school, activities and our new time-consumer: college applications. While this process is, of course, necessary, we all must find a way to relax in between all of those dreaded essays.
We all have our own secret remedy. Relaxation is always an important factor in stabilizing your senior year experience, and Berkeley students have found their own methods to de-stress. Senior Jessica Schrier enjoys making a hot bubble bath with that week’s choice of Lush bath bomb. “My favorite is the twilight bath bomb because it makes the water purple and sparkly” Schrier noted. On the other hand, Sarah Mohammadi, ‘16, says that drawing or sketching helps her relax. “Being able to just sketch and not worry about how good it may be is a very nice change of pace” said Mohammadi. Senior Cole Chervitz added his perspective, saying that getting together with friends is a great way to take your mind off things. “When you get with a group, different conversations come up that know how to distract you well” Chervitz added.
Whatever your secret method may be, this year is a balancing act. The trick is to find others to confide in, track down the activity that puts your mind at ease and get ready to depart on new adventures just around the corner.
