I never thought about how much The Fanfare meant to me until I no longer had our weekly Wednesday meetings. For a while, I never thought much of them; I would share my ideas, listen to my peers’ thoughts and go off to class. However, the more I thought about it, I realized The Fanfare gave me something really special: a platform to share my thoughts and a reminder that my voice matters. Whether it be through brainstorming ideas in meetings, making articles or even editing the writing of others, I am so lucky to have been part of a community of such creative people, all who truly value what I have to say.
Thank you to Mrs. Ortega and Mrs. McLean for your constant support, guidance and understanding of my busy schedule. Thank you to Sam Zophin ’25, Zoya Jooma ’26, and Emma Collitz ’26 for all the work you put into each meeting and beyond. I know you guys work so hard. And finally, thank you to the writers who trusted me to read and edit their work— I’m glad I could help bring your words to life. I will miss you all, and I am grateful to have been part of such a thoughtful group of people!
