A Final Farewell – Vivian Willis

Head Photo Editor Vivian Willis delivers her final remarks to The Fanfare

I have greatly enjoyed being a photographer for The Fanfare throughout the years. My favorite memory was traveling to Tallahassee for the football state championship game during my junior year. I was able to stand on the field, inches away from the players on the bench, and take photos of the game and of the fans. It was different from any Berkeley home game because of the energy that the student section brought and the professional feel of the game. To this day, those are some of my favorite pictures I have ever taken.

Being a photographer for The Fanfare is such a fun experience because you are able to capture all the fun moments at Berkeley. Even when school gets hard, my role as the head photo editor helped me to remember all of the amazing things that we do here—whether that be pep rallies, spirit week, sports games or the Halloween parade. I cannot thank The Fanfare enough for all the fun opportunities that it has given me, and I am definitely going to miss it.
